Advertising is getting bigger by the day. With the advent of online ads, a ton of opportunities are suddenly created for people who would not have been able to afford it previously. Apart from the normal or common print and media ads, there’s a new form of advertisement. Well, not exactly new, but its awareness among small business entrepreneurs is just getting noticed. Prior to now, the only people or organization who ever dabbled into it were the Fortune 500 group. But with the new wave, even the common man can afford a media buy with a good bargain.

Digital out of home advertising is not as popular as it should be and that’s a good thing because you can now benefit from its many advantages. While people have become “immune” to the bombardments from the 3 major forms of popular advertising- TV ads, mobile and online ads- they are not very immune to the effects of digital out of home advertising. Many people love the advertising because of its sheer suddenness.

To a certain degree, you can say that digital out of home advertising is “subtly intrusive” meaning you find them in places you least expect; thus getting your attention and having you notice it. If you are thinking of utilizing this means, then it’s about time because not even many advertising agencies have packages for it. Before dabbling into digital out of home advertising, you should be aware that there are few rules you must follow to be successful. These are:

1. Do Your Research on the Various Ad Agencies.

This is pretty simple; but the thing is not many people think that it is advertising in this medium hasn’t attained the level that the big three have. Therefore, the ad-buying process is still sot of unstructured. Research the different ad networks and agencies particularly their areas of specialization. All over the country, there are pockets of networks with advert packages targeted at different critical points such as elevator advertising, cashier stand advertising, shopping cart advertising, bus-stop ads and so on.

Not many of them even have the financial capability or human resources to grown or develop into a mainstream advertising agency. Because of its relatively unpopular status, it is still a no-man’s land. If you want a close comparison of the digital out of home advertising, think in terms of social media online. Think, twitter, hi5, Facebook and you’ll get an idea of how the whole process works. These social communities are effective but each ion their own way.

2. What’s the lingo?

As with all professions and disciplines, digital out of home advertising also has its terminologies. This you need to understand to be able to get good bargains for yourself. If you want to start your own agency, then you would need to learn this in-depth. Bottom line, speak the language of the business. In the recent past, a few big companies in the out of home advertising sector came up with an idea that basically pioneered the homogenization of language in the industry.

by Amy Nutt

In today’s world, nothing can be more important than name recognition when it comes to selling a product. Newcomers to the marketing realm must be especially wise in this area as they attempt appeal to a buying public and instill confidence in their brand.

Sadly, 60% of new ventures will fail and that failure will be based on bad advertising strategy. Indeed, many missteps can occur in advertising that could tarnish the name of even a well known company. Here are some of the more common ways that utilizing a faulty advertising strategy can doom a company to the point of no return.

Targeting the wrong demographic — although this may not seem possible or even that important, in the realm of marketing, it is everything. Let’s say you make a product that would appeal to 20 something females, but the adverts leans more toward 30-40 something’s. The mixed signal could confuse the masses, and in the end, you could alienate all client bases. This would of course hurt your image, tarnishing it before you even begin a well formed campaign.

Insulting your target demographic – the last thing any company should do is insult the intelligence of their target base. As far as a marketing strategy would go, it is career suicide. How can you insult your audience? By providing false information about the product or by assuming they will not know or understand certain aspects of the product you are selling. By being dishonest, or talking down to your audience, you are telling them you think you are smarter than they are. This works how often?

Beating a Dead Horse – what can begin as a brilliant campaign can grow wearisome if overused. When you develop a marketing strategy, test the waters from time to time to see how well it is doing. Don’t assume that something that worked two years ago will work indefinitely. Keeping your brand innovative, fresh and contemporary will help to preserve its longevity.

Failing to Cultivate Word of Mouth – many companies believe that putting a ton of money into splashy ads or expensive commercials is a surefire way to get people talking, but the old adage that a product sells itself is still tried and true. Put money aside to offer free samples to the buying public. If your product works as advertised, people will talk and your business will grow.

Foregoing test marketing – while you may think you have the best product on the planet, the world may not be ready for it. The videophone comes to mind. Companies that employ a time honored marketing strategy, like developing a raw prototype, or paying consumers to test their products, often do well. In the end, it may be worth the expense, especially if the information helps you tweak the product so it is more to consumer liking.

And remember; don’t throw the kitchen sink at one aspect of advertising. While it may be a good idea to put your name on one side of the super bowl blimp, you could be better served placing your advertising dollars in more than one basket.

By keeping an eye on your advertising strategy and playing it smart, your company will not only make a mark in the business world, it will remain in good standing for years to come.

I analyzed at length before I obtained my Minolta Dimage camera. I checked out every professional and consumer review I could find. I compared looks, sizes, prices, ratings, everything. I look at the cameras in retail stores and on the web.

After getting all of that info I ultimately selected the Minolta Dimage Camera 5MP. After using the camera on an almost daily basis for several months now I am content to say that I made the best decision.

I once had the HP photosmart 935 5.3 megapixel which takes superb photographs, but it was always slow and it ate up the batteries. Also it is a more average sized camera. I wanted to continue working with that camera for the more important, planned photos and special pictures like July 4th fireworks and such. But I needed a 2nd camera that was as tiny as possible, fast and easy to use, with a giant LCD display. I also desired for it to take sharp photographs without costing me a small fortune.

I could not be happier with the Minolta Dimage camera. It is even tinier and more streamlined than it seems in photographs, but the LCD is huge with extraordinarily sharp photographs. It’s so fast at powering up that I can turn it on and off regularly to salvage its battery life, but I do not actually have to because it battery last such a long time.

The sliding lens cover / power switch works great and it keeps the camera from coming on in your pocket, hand-bag or case. Plus it doesn’t have a troublesome telescoping lens to stress about and the zoom is powerful.

The Minolta Dimage camera has every function and photo option that normal camera users would ever want with really easy to use buttons and menus. The buttons and lenses are all so completely positioned that I never smudge my LCD screen or place my finger over the lens. It is durable and manifestly well made.

I carry it in my hand-bag each day in a very slim case without a single problem. I am taking so many more photographs now than I ever did before. The pictures made with my Minolta Dimage camera are so gorgeous, clear and crisp. Most of the small cameras have issues with fuzzy pictures because they are difficult to hold still. Unless you are jumping or shaking unreasonably for some weird reason, unclear photos are not a problem with the Minolta Dimage camera .

I like this camera. I most HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

by Jeff Jones

One of the things that I love about my new Dimage Minolta digital camera is the variety of Minolta camera accessories that they have.

Since purchasing my Minolta camera I’ve also gotten some of the accessories for my new camera. In this article I’m going to give my review on the Minolta camera accessories that I have gotten, and I will show you where you will locate Minolta camera accessories with a savings up to 49 per-cent off the full price.

Lens Adapter for Konica Minolta Dimage:

This is a common metal lens adaptor, it is getting the task finished and it is just the perfect size for the lens barrel, so it won’t be noticed in any of your shots. This is a necesity to improve the images of your Z camera with filters.

Opetka HD2 Filter Kit:

This Minolta camera accessories kit incorporates a neat tiny protective pouch that protects all of the filters. I found the case helpful, but it’s not exactly the smartest thing for your filters if you’d like to keep them safe. I typically keep the tiny filter case in my bigger camera bag with my lens wrapped with protective tissue so that I can keep my filters and lens clean.

The FL-D filter isn’t just fine for fluorescent light levels, but it also adds a soft effect to photos using any light. The Fluorecent filter even makes tungsten lighting look better indoors. If you are using this with a digital, you may wish to white balance before using this filter.

The Ultra Violet filter has a similar effect as any other Ultra Violet filter and the polarizer does a good job in bright situations also.

Opteka 70″ Full Size professional photograph / Video Tripod:

There were several tripods in the Minolta camera accessories line that I took a good look at prior to buying this one. What caused me to buy this one was how durable it looked. On arrival, I was glad to say that the footage of the product held true. The tripod is built well and can be altered in a range of ways to alter the height and angles. The way the legs locks into place makes it easy to set the tripod up on unlevel ground. This is a giant plus, as I wasn’t wanting to just use this inside.

———————————————————————————–

I researched extensively before I took possession of my Minolta Dimage camera. I read each pro and shopper review I saw. I compared quality, sizes, prices, ratings, everything. I checked out the cameras in retail stores and online.

Due to all of that info I finally decided on the Minolta Dimage Camera 5 mega-pixel. After operating the camera on a near daily basis for a few months now I am cheerful to say that I made the right choice.

I already had the HP photosmart 935 5.3 mega pixel which takes fantastic photographs, but it was always slow and it ran through the batteries. Also it’s a more average sized camera. I would have liked to continue using that camera for the more crucial, planned photos and special pics like fireworks and such. It’s so fast at powering up that I can turn it on and off repeatedly to maintain its battery life, but I don’t actually need to because it battery last such a long time.

The sliding lens cover / power switch works splendid and it stops the camera from being turned on in your pocket, purse or case. And it does not have a troublesome telescoping lens to worry about and the zoom is wonderful.

The Minolta Dimage camera has every function and photograph option that day to day camera users should desire with truly easy to use buttons and menus. The buttons and lenses are all so perfectly positioned that I never smudge my screen or put my finger on top of the lens. It is sturdy and very well made.

I carry it in my bag each day in a small, slim case without a single problem. I am taking so many more pics now than I ever was before. The shots made with my Minolta Dimage camera are so beautiful, sharp and crisp. Lots of the tiny cameras have issues with fuzzy pictures because they are harder to hold steady. Unless you are moving or shaking unreasonably for some weird reason, fuzzy pictures are not an issue with the Minolta Dimage camera .

I adore this camera. I most HIGHLY endorse getting it to everyone!

If you are thinking of an advertising medium that has the ability to increase your brand reach and visibility, then you should be thinking of out of home advertising. Right now, this is one of the hottest advertising solutions used by people to create massive popularity for their products. Out of home advertising involves anything from fliers and posters to sky writing and the huge amount of place based media. Its application and processes are so dynamic that old and outdate billboards in their thousands are frequently being converted to top of the range LED billboards that can promote anything that needs promoting. Some of these advertising are restricted to certain time frames. For example, there can be an ad for Nike shorts on one board at 5p.m and another ad for Xbox at 11p.m on the same board.

Not only is out of home advertising exciting and dynamic sending a barrage of messages at potential prospects. It is also the favourite of start-up and SMBs (Small and medium scale businesses) because of the costs. It is very result oriented and affordable. To increase your sales dramatically using out of home marketing, heres what you should do:

1. Location

Like Ray Kroc of McDonalds often said Its all about the location. If your location is wrong, you are not likely to get any results. Know that with the exception of skywriting, most out of home advertising involves the use of a static media. This basically means that your ads will be on posters, beaches as in the case of beach sand impression, billboards and maybe fliers. So when targeting your prospects, be sure to take note of high density areas and high attraction quotient.

For example, a teeth whitening ad placed on the door of a beauty shop is bound to be noticed. The same goes for an ad that is placed in your direct line of vision as you walk into a mall. So, choose locations where your prospects are likely to gather frequently. Shopping stores and malls are an effective place for ads. You can put your sticker on the shopping carts, in front of the cashier and just behind the cashier. This will get noticed fast and is likely to increase your chances of increasing your sales because your prospects are just about to make a buying decision at the point they see your ads.

2. Strong Message

Just think about McDonalds billboard ads and you get the idea. The message is simple: come in, eat and take away. Thats what your message should be like “strong, definite, and unclustered. Most of your prospects are likely going to be on the move. The bottom line with these ads is Get their attention and give them the message in less than 3 seconds. Anything more and you are wasting your time. In fact the advertising association of America (AAA) recommends that the words on all such out of home ads be at the highest, 7 with a strong visual image.
