You may never have heard the term neurobics, or how it relates to short term memory. You may notice the similarity to the term aerobics, which refers to exercises for your body. Exercising your brain is equivalently important, and neurobics are exercises that will allow you to do this.

As someone who might adhere to a set daily routine, the might generate some chaos and fun in your usual world. It can be interesting to explore neurobics as they permit you to make use of all of your five senses, improving your short term memory and exercise your mind. They can also simultaneously let you discover more about your emotional senses, and understand their interactions with your other senses.

You will also grow new brain cells which is important for your overall mental well being. There are some really fun activities you can try that fall into the category of neurobics.

Alternatively, you must focus on other body motions in order to communicate. Neurobics also includes a category of activities which require you to explore two ideas at the same time. This, however, is not exactly comparable to multi-tasking. You\’ll need to perform two tasks which still permit your mind to explore things creatively. One example is to listen to music and create art at the same time. Everyone does many different routine activities which we\’re not usually conscious of.

We do these things and we don\’t realize them or consider acting differently, which can adversely affect our short term memory. One type of neurobics requires us to alter these typical routines. When you clean the house, do you typically start with the kitchen? If this is something that you do, try doing it last instead. Are your days usually all begun similarly? Figure out which of your hands is the dominant one, and try to accomplish all of your daily tasks with the opposite hand.

These activities will bring heightened awareness to everything that we do throughout the day with the help of our brains. We need to recognize, and put a stop to performing the tasks of the day on autopilot. Through the use of Neurobics exercises you will be able to recognize that you can make changes to your routine and constantly find new ways for your brain to gain information.

As we get older memory loss is naturally occurring but what would cause memory loss for someone in their twenties. Drawing a blank or forgetting things is common but if it happens all the time you may be experiencing short term memory loss.

This may indeed be alarming when fifty year-olds can only remember 60 percent of what a twenty year-old’s memory is capable of. To have only this kind of deteriorating memory retention a good thirty years before you expect it is definitely cause for concern. Could this really happen? It’s quite possible, though severe memory loss in twenty year-olds is actually quite rare, despite the more occurrences that have been cropping up in recent years.

Aging definitely affects memory retention, because as the mind and body get older, the less brain cells are produced to retain certain types of information. This starts in our twenties and steadily continues as we grow older. Memory loss does not necessarily mean an onset of Alzheimer’s disease, although it could be symptoms of this disease manifesting early. Now, of course, this is not a rapid process, and not the reason why a twenty year-old may experience memory loss.

Memory loss can be caused by drugs, alcohol, stress, depression, and anxiety. There was also research in Japan that suggested that too much computer use interfered with our memory.

The obvious way to counter this is to cut down on the stress, and one way to start is to get decent exercise, which allows better oxygen flow to your brain. Aside from exercising your body, though, it’s important to exercise your brain, as well.

Your memory loss can also be prevented by keeping the brain active. You can do this by doing brain exercises such as puzzles, word searches, and reading.
