You may never have heard the term neurobics, or how it relates to short term memory. You may notice the similarity to the term aerobics, which refers to exercises for your body. Exercising your brain is equivalently important, and neurobics are exercises that will allow you to do this.

As someone who might adhere to a set daily routine, the might generate some chaos and fun in your usual world. It can be interesting to explore neurobics as they permit you to make use of all of your five senses, improving your short term memory and exercise your mind. They can also simultaneously let you discover more about your emotional senses, and understand their interactions with your other senses.

You will also grow new brain cells which is important for your overall mental well being. There are some really fun activities you can try that fall into the category of neurobics.

Alternatively, you must focus on other body motions in order to communicate. Neurobics also includes a category of activities which require you to explore two ideas at the same time. This, however, is not exactly comparable to multi-tasking. You\’ll need to perform two tasks which still permit your mind to explore things creatively. One example is to listen to music and create art at the same time. Everyone does many different routine activities which we\’re not usually conscious of.

We do these things and we don\’t realize them or consider acting differently, which can adversely affect our short term memory. One type of neurobics requires us to alter these typical routines. When you clean the house, do you typically start with the kitchen? If this is something that you do, try doing it last instead. Are your days usually all begun similarly? Figure out which of your hands is the dominant one, and try to accomplish all of your daily tasks with the opposite hand.

These activities will bring heightened awareness to everything that we do throughout the day with the help of our brains. We need to recognize, and put a stop to performing the tasks of the day on autopilot. Through the use of Neurobics exercises you will be able to recognize that you can make changes to your routine and constantly find new ways for your brain to gain information.

If you have been suffering from short term memory loss for in your life,, you can improve your memory naturallyimprove your memory by checking out this blog here.

by Jennifer Pereira, RD, LD, CSCS

We are all on a quest to discover the meaning of life, whether we know it or not. You are in your car, and

in a panic you think: why am I here? Good question…if you never asked, you would be dying

feeling you missed out on life. Here are the three steps to begin the search for the meaning of life:

Step 1: Healing your history

You will have to do some inner work in order to start with a clean slate. It may not be fun, it is

very important work. This is the only way you can be free of anxiety and depression that may have plagued you

This work can be done alone, but many see faster benefits with

some counseling. Finding the right person to help you may require a few attempts.

2: Find yourself

You’ve spent your whole life pretending to be who your think you should be. It will take some awareness to determine

yourself. Be aware of your preferences, and try to understand why you have them. If you have a strong emotional

reaction, try to figure out why. Think from the perspective of yourself as a child. Remember what it is that used

excited you? It is impossible to really live in this world if you are feeling lost

until you are truly found.

3rd Step: Aligning with yourself

Here is where the real work begins…creating the life you really want. It is not going to be easy. You might

you have been putting yourself second to others for a long time. The key is for you to be

the real you, and that means doing what you really want to do. And having what you really want to have.

And being what you want to be being. Be aware of inconsistencies and start changing. You have to make these

things now, because you cannot wait to be ready for it.

Only you can answer for yourself the question of the meaning of your life. It remains unquestioned, though, that life must

live. Don’t just breathe in and out. Don’t just exist. You must really engage yourself in life so that you do

not reach the end of it and find you were dead all along.

OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder causes a person to repeat actions or thoughts repeatedly. People with OCD want to stop themselves from carrying out the compulsions, but are unable to.

Without OCD treatment, the disorder may begin to suffer another mental problem, such as anxiety. In addition, OCD treatment involves meds, which can be very helpful to the disorder and their family in knowing about the disorder.

Handling Options

OCD is treated with combination methods. Current OCD treatment usually involves:

* Therapy

* Medicine

Treating OCD is something that needs a lot of commitment, so that the therapy can only succeed when the disorder is ready to get help and is eager to maintain a commitment to all phases of the therapy.

Unlike many other conditions, medication alone will not work to stop OCD behaviors or symptoms. A person with OCD has to be committed to all the treatment options.

Treatment

Therapy is the most common form of OCD treatment. OCD has been labeled a mental disorder and behavioral therapy has proven much more successful as a treatment.

Behavioral therapy can be tailored to fit the exact compulsions of the patient. Behavioral therapy also can offer patient different techniques to help them. These techniques include:

* Systematic desensitization: exposes the person to the anxiety provoking stimuli gradually

* Relaxation techniques: teaches how to cope with stress and anxiety

* Flooding: Combines systematic desensitization with relaxation techniques to help the person overcome the compulsion

Medicine

Treatment has been found to be very good for OCD disorder. Anti depressant are the most commonly used drug for OCD therapy.

It is important for a patient to understand that the medication can only help slightly and that therapy must be used in combination if complete relief is desired.

New research helps bring about new ways to treat the condition and continues to help improve the lives of those with OCD.

We are all on a quest to discover the meaning of life, whether we know it or not. You are in your car, and

all of the sudden you wonder: what is the purpose of life? Excellent question, and without this inquiry you would find yourself dying

feeling you missed out on life. Here are the three steps to begin the search for the meaning of life:

1st Step: Reflecting on your past

You may think you do not need to work on your past, but it is necessary for healing. While not always easy, it is

crucial to your progress. It is time to end the anxious and depressed feelings that have been a part of your life.

throughout life. You can do this on your own with reading and journaling, but you may see more progress with

a therapist. It may take a few tries to find the right person for you.

2nd Step: There you are!

You’ve spent your whole life pretending to be who your think you should be. It will take some awareness to determine

who you are. What are your favorite things, and why do you like them? If you react powerfully

to something, try to understand why. Consider what you liked as a child. Can you think of things that

made you feel excitement? If you are feelings lost in this world, remember you can’t truly live

until you are truly found.

3rd Step: Aligning with yourself

This is where you take action, matching your desires with your reality. This requires some hard work. You may

find people resist you making yourself a priority. It is critical that you be

consistent in your life, and this means doing what you want to be doing. And having what you want to be having.

And being what you really want to be. Make what you imagine for yourself become real. Making these

changes may be difficult, but the time to do it is now.

Only you can answer for yourself the question of the meaning of your life. It remains unquestioned, though, that life must

to be lived fully. It is not enough to just moved through the world in a trance. You cannot simply exist. You must be plugged into life so you

not reach the end of it and find you were dead all along.

Understanding the symptoms of ADD can help you to better understand the condition.

by Anne Durrell

Understanding the symptoms of ADD can help you to better understand the condition.

Is ADD Genuine?

One of the biggest debates about ADD is that it is not a factual condition. Somehow, a closer look at the warning signs will let you see that ADD is abnormal behavior.

There is no reason to deny a child treatment that can greatly improve their life just because of a belief that ADD is not real. ADD has been proven though medical studies to be a real condition that needs treatment.

ADD Behaviors

The symptoms of ADD are often referred to as behaviors because ADD is a behavioral disease. True ADD only covers one group of behaviors. ADHD, a related disease, covers two additional groups.

Misdiagnosis is common because many doctors are quick to label a child ADHD when they are, in fact, only ADD. This can lead to overmedicating the child and not given proper overall treatment.

Symptoms of ADD

The general warning signs to watch for are:

* Inability to focus

* Poor concentration

* Problem putting ideas into words

* Quick anger

* Irritation

When to seek for warning signs

Most children with ADD will start to show some signs of trouble when they get into school. Since the school environment involves a lot of focusing and behaving.

Teachers are often the first to find out the symptoms of ADD. Kids with ADD may have troubles learning new things as well as may seem as if they are not giving attention or acting up quite often.

ADD can attack adults, too. The warning signs are the same as well as therapy is generally the same, too. Without the right treatment of ADD, an adult or child could suffer in work or school.

Medication needs to be monitored and adjusted over time. However, once treatment is administered and working it can help a person to completely overcome the ADD symptoms and learn to live with the disease.

by Rose Williams

There is a fairly good chance that someone you know has experienced some kind of headache recently, just because there are so many different forms of headaches around. These forms of headache may be the result of dehydration, missed meals, migraines or other forms of headache like a tension headache or even a chronic tension headache.

A tension headache can feel like a tight elastic band wrapped tightly around your head, however, the pain from a tension headache goes away after a short while. But just think about having to suffer from a tension headache every day – for weeks on end. This type of tension headache is called a chronic tension headache because the pain may be experienced at least 15 days a month for a period of several months.

In the case of chronic tension headaches, the symptoms of the headache are similar to those of tension headaches, except for the fact that the pain never really seems to go away. People who have experienced chronic tension headaches describe the pain as if they were wearing a pressure band around their heads. Other people may describe severe chronic tension headache pain as a hooded cape that drapes down onto their shoulders.

In the case of both tension headaches and chronic tension headaches, the pain can be felt either in the forehead region, in the sides of the head or sometimes even at the rear of the head. At its usual power the chronic tension headache is a dull, aching pain, although sometimes the pain is like a restricting tightness. Generally the pain is mild to moderately severe.

The severity of the pain varies with the general physical condition of the individual concerned and it also varies with the different types headaches. Many people begin to experience chronic tension headaches as soon as they wake up in the morning, although others have reported that their chronic tension headaches start in the early hours of the morning.

Normal tension headaches are more common than chronic tension headaches, however twice as many women as men suffer from chronic tension headaches. The duration and the severity of the pain is about the same as the normal variety in this form of headache, however the pain from the chronic tension headache is almost a daily occurrence and is also continuous.

Individuals who get chronic tension headaches are supposed to be more prone to anxiety and depression than non-sufferers of chronic tension headaches. It is further known that chronic tension headaches are more common during or after heightened periods of stress and anxiety. Anyone who has mood disorders like depression or anxiety should have these conditions treated before getting their chronic tension headache attended to.

People who suffer from chronic tension headaches can lead normal and fulfilling lives with the proper medical advice and treatment. Over time, they may understand what the triggers of their headaches are and how avoiding these triggers can prevent the onset of a bout of chronic tension headaches.
