Electrical Engineering is a specialization in the field of engineering involved with the designing, developing and analyzing of various Electronic Devices from Pocket Calculators to super computers. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. An Electric Engineer makes use of problem-solving skills and decision-making skills in developing effective electric devices that enhance the quality of our life.

An Electrical Engineer should have the ability to communicate their ideas to others in the field in a manner that does not sound like a bad episode of star trek. In order to do so, he should have broad grasp of engineering in general. That is the reason most of Electrical Engineering Programs begin with the study of fundamentals of engineering. Once the student has got perfect mastery over fundamentals, he/she can move on to his area of specialization.

Electrical Engineering is unique amongst engineering disciplines because of wide range of specialization offered in it. It offers very broad and expanding range of subject areas. It enables students to center on particular specialization by providing opportunity for the selection of six technical electives. The subject areas are so diverse that it is not always visible that there is an underlying connection.

Students of Electric Engineering learn through mixture of designing and lab work. They get enough theoretical and practical knowledge to understand things deeply. By getting practical knowledge, they can easily apply their ideas in real life situations. They also learn how to diagnose problems in electric equipment and how to develop various solutions to sort out the problem.

An Electronic Engineering is sure way to highly successful and rewarding career. There are wide varieties of career options to choose from. There are so many opportunities for an Electric engineer in the following field:

Software and service companies Research and Educational Institutes Technical Monitoring Companies Energy Supply corporations Civil Service Development labs and Industrial research

Electrical engineering is your passport to a lucrative and successful career. Pursuing Electrical engineering is definitely a good career decision but make sure to enroll yourself only in Top Engineering College. Also make sure that your degree program is accredited relevant authorities. Doing so will give you an edge over others.
