Our elected officials are doing anything they can think of to get the real estate market moving again. The federal government has passed a tax credit for home buyers. The state of California just did the same. The two incentives overlap for a very limited time – barely enough to take advantage. You could get both tax credits when you buy a house, if you time it right.
