Please Go Green!
Today I read an article from a magazine. I can’t remember the magazine’s name, but the article is called ‘It’s time to go Green’. Obviously, it talks about that we should be more environmentally friendly in order to save Mother Earth.
Every day human being uses up a vast amount of energy-producing products. Sometimes we use more than what we actually need and this is not green. We should now use fuel with a smarter and greener manner like some ‘world idols’ , for example, President Barack Obama has just bought a car called ‘hybrid car’, it is a new type of energy-saving car. Mr. Obama is really a trendy icon, right?
I am not that rich to buy a hybrid car, but anyway I am not a driver. But I am thinking of what I can do to give a helping hand to Mother Earth and be green. A few weeks ago there was a global program urging skyscrapers and shops to turn off their lights for 1 hour to arouse the attention of the globe towards energy-saving. That was a great program, so why not continue it?
There are many ways that we can use to save our world and be green. Using less plastic bags is obviously one of them. If you are just buying a bar of chocolate from the supermarket, you should not get a large plastic bag and throw it away once you get back home, right? Use less to save more.
Each day we have lots of notes and things that we need to mark down on paper sheets, this creates a large amount of wastage if we do not try hard to use both sides of the sheets. Another environmental problem created by use of paper is that, people try to use a lot of wrapping paper sheets whenever they are giving our presents. Is that really necessary? Of course not! One layer of wrapping would not make the receiver less happy or green!
Many people and corporations have a habit of posting cards to friends and clients during festival times. Paper cards can be very sweet, but they are not green. Now we have a better choice, we can send e-cards to our friends and clients in a vast amount and can still be ‘very green’.
So why not try to send E-cards which are as sweet as paper cards! This is very sweet to send love messages and for companies, it is an effective and green way for promotion! Some websites help you out by letting you draw your own cards!
If you don’t want your grandsons and granddaughters to live in a highly-polluted world, from now on, please be greener. Use everything wisely. All in all, the World is ours. Please love it and protect it.
